  1. I have wondered about the current safety record of MV-22. I was part of the (first) MV-22 flight simulator team, probably around 1989 - don't remember. At that time the first few aircraft were very dangerous for the flight crew and I lost track of them since I retired in 1996.

    I assume that they are safe now as , occasionally, I hear about one being used in Afghanistan (I think). If you can re-assure me, I would be grateful.

    They show evidence that mishaps may not being correctly reported.
