Hey, wait a minute. I buy Bar S bacon all the time and it's fine. It's sliced a bit too thin and you do have to lift the inspection flap to determine if a particular package has the meat/fat distribution you prefer, but it's a good product and sells at an attractive price. I don't think the 7 year old kid who wrote the note knows much about bacon. Ummm, bacon.....

A fine upgrade to run of the mill bacon is to sprinkle a bit of brown sugar on it as it fries. White sugar works, too. Also, maple syrup is nice, although the real maple syrup is better, even the simple pancake syrup is OK. Remember, a little goes a long way.
