hooooowwwwww is your friend getting that made for your prom?? please tell me because i would LOVE to do the same!!
Katie Said :
this dress is absolutely awesome. i guess that this could be an innovative design that could be adapted for a bridal gown. does anyone have any idea what fabric was used at all? would really be beneficial to know so that i could incorporate this into my bridal gown which i am going to make for my exam piece.
Zak Said :
I need to find some way to find one that is almost the same as that or I have to make and I dont know who can print it out on the fabric. The Reason why I want this is to give it to my sister for her birthday! She love monarch butterflies ever since she was little. WTH!
Josie Said :
Can someone PLEASE tell me where I can buy this dress at??
Bridget Said :
WOW! Really beautiful and so unique.
Ras Said :
I would guess it is silk. You could have a silk screen designer do the design and print it on. My daughter is a dress designer and is going to try and make one for me.
Jamie Said :
I am a seamstress and costume designer. A friend of mine actually found this , and asked if I could recreate the dress for her wedding. I can't imagine any other way to recreate the panels but by quilting the pieces together to form each butter fly wing. Or, having the design silk screened on to your choice of fabric... (which isnt an option for me...
I hope she wants me to do it for her, because I'm enthralled...
If I don't do it for her...I'll be doing it for my party dress at my own wedding next year.
I LOVE THIS!
Rebecca Said :
This is a Luly Yang custom designed gown. Her storefront is located in Seattle, WA on 4th Ave. She just launched her new collection, re-featuring this gown at her last fashion show 'A Monarch's Tale.' You can probably find it on Youtube or on her Facebook Page- Luly Yang. Hope this helps ladies! I am a wedding planner up in Seattle and get to attend her fashion shows on a regular basis. 🙂 Not a bad gig! 🙂
Aspen Said :
Its made out of silk taffeta black ostrich feathers, and Swarovski crystals. That's what her Facebook page says.
